Our General English language course is our flagship course. This programme combines our General English tuition with a unique curriculum designed to develop your 21st Century Skills and prepare you for career success. The course develops the confidence and skills you need to express yourself powerfully and is ideal if you wish to enter the workforce or advance your career at home or abroad. General English is the centre of our teaching at British Study Centres and will improve your English communication skills in an engaging, interactive way. Using materials from National Geographic Learning and a coursebook that has been specifically designed for BSC, learn new vocabulary, understand English grammar and get support in the areas you need it the most. *Note: 30 lessons = 22.5 hrs

Studying a General English course will give you an understanding of the English language and take you all the way from beginner to fluency. This course focuses on communication skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing.

TOEFL® is the most popular examination for North American English and is the most widely accepted English language test in the world. Our TOEFL® and Academic English Exam Preparation course will give you the test skills and the level of English that you need to do well on your exam. We focus on test-taking strategies and highlight the academic English skills needed for exam success. The course includes TOEFL®-focused reading, writing, listening and speaking, plus practice exam questions and online simulation tests that mirror the real TOEFL® ibT. Students unable to attend a live course could instead enrol in Kaplan’s TOEFL® Online Course

Linguaskill Business measures the ability of non-native speakers to communicate in English in everyday business environments. The course is an excellent choice for students who plan to use English for business or the workplace. Students receive pre-tests, and the official test is offered at the college every 4 weeks.Linguaskill Business is a replacement for BULATS and is a reliable way of assessing the language ability of employees or trainees. Our ESL classes are based on a unique UMC Model that maximizes student-teacher interaction and communicative learning when studying English. Designed and created in UMC, our unique techniques and activities used in the classroom are designed to develop both fluency AND accuracy with the ultimate goal of language production. Each lesson is allocated to different skills such as listening strategies, vocabulary development, reading, writing skills, pronunciation, fluency improvement and so on. The exam preparation courses are design to help you achieve the result needed in your chosen language exam. These official language exams are used as a proof of language proficiency for immigration purposes, university admissions, or for employment. In this course you will learn and develop test-taking strategies and skills.

At LVC we offer preparation classes for the IELTS and Cambridge exams (KET, PET, FCE, CAE & CPE). Lessons are based on learners’ needs, ensuring that they improve their English and practise exam skills through a variety of materials including past exam papers. Our General English courses are designed to improve your English language skills and give you more professional and academic options in the future. As well as taking lessons, you will have plenty of time to sight-see and explore your destination. The course is semi-intensive, and is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced, with classes made up of different levels. The focus is on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking, and all our schools offer extensive and varied activities programs to help you make the most of your destination.
