St Giles Vancouver offers the International Semester Course to students wishing to experience Canadian life and study General English for 6 months or longer. Additional modules also available at St Giles Vancouver are: Cambridge English, IELTS, TOEFL or TOEIC exam preparation, and English for Business.

Structured like a real university year, our English Language Academic Year course in Vancouver is a nine-month English course that aims to take you from your current level of English up to a very high level of fluency. You'll build invaluable skills for your future and make lasting memories as you explore the new city and culture around you. Our Intensive Academic Year course allows you to maximize your classroom time, with extra lessons focusing on specific skills such as business English, academic English, literature or TOEFL/IELTS preparation. This course has 20 hours of lessons per week.

This is the perfect course for students who would like to complement their 20 core lessons with 10 specialised elective lessons. Intensive 30 will allow exploration of an extensive range of elective options as a well as building a solid foundation of language. Our Intensive 30 course covers the key language learning areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening, using skills-based and situational learning combined with using one-to-one tutorials and regular progress tests to respond to the student’s individual learning needs. These electives are: exam skills, communication, Academic speaking and writing... among many others.

This English language course from VanWest Vancouver is based on an integrated skill curriculum, morning classes will teach you specific strategies to improve your English language. This English language course will build students’ understanding of the basic grammar, vocabulary, and functions of the English language.

The semi-intensive course includes the full core class with Language Development and English Skills, with the addition of three electives per week. This will allow exploration of an extensive range of elective options as well as building on a solid foundation of the language. Our General English Semi-Intensive course covers the key language learning areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening, using one-to-one tutorials and regular progress tests to respond to the student’s individual learning needs. These electives are: confident communication, pronunciation, English for journalism, exam skills... among many others.

With this Intensive General English language course at ILAC Vancouver, students will develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills as well as grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and idioms.

With this programme, you will develop fluency, accuracy and appropriate uses of English across all four language skills. You will benefit from excellent guidance, monitoring and feedback throughout this course. Taking the time to seriously focus on your English will open up unlimited opportunities for you. This programme is for students who study for 24 weeks or more.

In the General English Power language course at ILAC Toronto, students will develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills as well as grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and idioms. This course will help improve students' language at a faster speed since it comes with 8 extra lessons than an intensive course.
