Our English language Academic Year courses in Kaplan Vancouver are nine-month English courses that aim to take you from your current level of English up to a very high level of fluency. In the General English Power language course at ILAC Toronto, students will develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills as well as grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and idioms. This course will help improve students' language at a faster speed since it comes with 8 extra lessons than an intensive course.

Apart from the 20 L/W of General English that students have, with this option the choice of an elective is available. There are electives suitable for each level, some of the options are: pronunciation, grammar, speaking, English for business, critical response, English for public speaking, English for social media...

Our General English program is designed to help you improve your overall ability in English, in all of the main skill areas. CLLC’s Semi Intensive Program gives students flexibility to study 15 hours per week (20 lessons/ week) of quality English language instruction. Students can choose from Reading & Writing, Listening & Speaking, IELTS Preparation or Business English as their primary class while studying the Semi Intensive Program.

A Bayswater Eurocentres General English course uses market-leading course materials to provide you with engaging, interactive lessons. Your teacher will make use of a variety of resources, including well-known coursebooks and online study platforms, to deliver a consistent and structured learning experience. This course will prepare you for using English in real-life situations outside of the classroom, and aims to improve your daily communication skills by introducing a range of interesting and relevant topics with each new unit. This semi-intensive course is made up of 25 lessons per week/18.7 hours per week that combine language learning with a special focus on developing critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. This is best for students who want a combination of morning and mid-day classes.

This General English language course is made up of 30 lessons (22.5 hours) per week including the General English classes. It also allows you to personalise your course by taking 10 lessons per week across a wide selection of Special Focus options.

This is the perfect General English language course for students who would like to complement their 20 core lessons with 10 specialised elective lessons. Intensive 30 will allow exploration of an extensive range of elective options as a well as building a solid foundation of language. Our Intensive 30 course covers the key language learning areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening, using skills-based and situational learning combined with using one-to-one tutorials and regular progress tests to respond to the student’s individual learning needs. These electives are: confident speaking, pronunciation, exam skills, English for journalism, academic writing and speaking... among many others.
