The Intensive French Language Course combines the linguistic learning of the Standard Course with additional French lessons set more specifically to develop all the oral skills (oral comprehension and expression). It is a good balance between all basics of French learning (writing, reading, listening, and speaking), grammar, vocabulary, phonetics, and the use of French to improve your oral expression and your knowledge of France. The hours of this course are from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and 3 afternoons a week from 1:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The 50+ French language courses for seniors at our French language school in Montpellier goes through the 4 competences according to the CEFR recommendations: oral and written expressions, and oral and written comprehension. Grammar is exploded, your lexical knowledge embellishes with new expressions and refined phonetics through various articulatory exercises. Our French Language School in Montpellier offers a program designed with care so as to meet the needs and interests of each one of you. To reinforce communication and exchange with other students, the Course for over 50s offers you a large repertoire of visits and excursions. You can participate in both guided tours of the city and excursions in its surroundings and, at night, tasting workshops and tasting of products are organized in local restaurants.

The long-term intensive French Language course for teens works on the 4 skills according to the CEFRL (the Common European framework of reference for languages): you learn to read, write, listen and speak so as to better understand and assimilate French language basics. Learning French grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation exercise all contribute to improving your communication skills. With this in mind, our French school in Montpellier carefully tailors its French immersion programs to suit each level.

The Standard French Language course consists of 20 lessons per week of group instruction. Teachers focus on an interactive teaching method with the goals of expanding the students' vocabulary and knowledge of French culture and civilization; broadening his or her familiarity with grammar and its structures, as well as written expression of the French language; improving oral expression through group discussions, reading comprehension through the analysis and discussion of authentic documents and listening comprehension. Note that during the summer high season, some Intensive and Standard courses are only available in the afternoon. French Plus courses combine French lessons with a specialized activity.

The exam preparation courses are design to help you achieve the result needed in your chosen language exam. These official language exams are used as a proof of language proficiency for immigration purposes, university admissions, or for employment. In this course you will learn and develop test-taking strategies and skills.

Whereas the French standard classes improve French language skills, small group classes (max. 5 students) for Teacher training are essential for giving you the time to think about your own work as a French Teacher. The classes show you more ways of teaching and encourage innovative strategies both for thinking up your lesson, teaching it and managing the group. This residential course changes Teachers’ daily routines and gives them the chance to sink into a French way of life; something they will be able to share with their students when returning to their classroom. This is an ideal formula for improving as a French Teacher because you will be able to pass on your enthusiasm and motivation to your students when returning to the classroom after the course.

French for Academic Purposes courses provide language instruction for students who wish to study at a university where English is the language of instruction. Language skills addressed include: listening comprehension, fluency development, oral intelligibility, reading, grammar, writing, and vocabulary development for University levels.
