The Intensive General English Course is suitable for students who want to maximise on work carried out in the Standard Course. This course takes place all year round. Morning lessons follow the same programme as the Standard Course from Monday to Friday (09.30 -13.00 in the UK). There are also three afternoon lessons a week Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (14.00 -16.30 in the UK or 14.00-16.00 in Ireland) which are focused on improving the students’ speaking skills and ability to communicate through English. In the afternoon lessons, students have the opportunity to improve their communicative proficiency through discussions, topical debates, authentic materials and use of portable and static technology. Course content is partly negotiated and partly based on TED lectures.

The General English + One-to-One course is designed to give you a mix of group classes and 1:1 lessons where you can focus on your specific language needs. You study on the core morning programme of the General English course in a mixed-national class at your level for 20 lessons per week. You can then study 5 individual lessons per week with a teacher who will design a study programme based your specific needs.

The Combination Course takes place all year round, from Monday to Friday. Morning lessons follow the same programme as the Standard Course. There are two afternoons a week of one-to-one lessons, designed to meet the individual requirements of each student. Prior to the first one-to-one session, students complete a Needs Analysis which helps the teacher to plan the one-to-one lessons according to the student’s specific needs. Teachers then work closely with the student to ensure these needs are being met. All students receive a final report detailing their progress and outlining future areas for attention. The minimum age is 16 and there is a maximum of 14 students per class. A combination course is 26.6lessons (20 hours) per week. 15 hours General English in the mornings and 5 hours one-to-one lessons in the afternoons in the UK.

Our International Academic Year Programme is designed for students who want to study for 24 weeks or more. Our standard course lengths are 24, 34 or 44 weeks; however you are able to study for longer if you wish. There are lots of benefits including the freedom to move from one course to another without any additional cost. For example, you could start with a General English programme to improve your overall level and then transfer to a Cambridge Examination Preparation course or an IELTS Preparation programme, depending on your individual needs.

Our Intensive English language course helps students improve all their skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) and learn the grammar, vocabulary and cultural knowledge necessary for living in the UK and using English in an international context. We focus on practical, effective and natural communication and you will get at least five pieces of new language in each 45-minute class.

Designed especially for mature learners, this English language +30 Core Course focuses on speaking and listening, and expressing yourself on day-to-day topics. Characteristics of the course: Focus is on all 4 skills, speaking, writing, listening, reading; Practical grammar; Communication is key, with plenty of opportunity for practice; Dynamic and interactive classroom environment; Authentic materials – newspaper, video and audio recordings; focus on pronunciation; constant correction and feedback from your teacher; all books or materials are included in the fees.

Our five month English Academic Semester course aims to get you from your current level of English up to a very high level of fluency. As well as this general English course, you can choose an Intensive Academic Semester course, in which you will study specific sections of vocabulary and skills, such as Business Intensive and exam preparation. Immerse yourself in the English language and spend a semester studying, getting to know a new location and culture. The course is an effective way to increase your fluency, and you will be helped by our exclusive and specially produced study materials. Our Semi-Intensive English course is a semi-intensive programme that allows you to balance classroom tuition with structured study and free time activities. You will improve your English language ability at a speed you feel comfortable with, while having time to enjoy your destination. This course is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced and you will be placed in a class which is suitable for your level. The course focuses on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking. You’ll also learn vocabulary and grammar, and how to speak in formal and informal discussions and strategies.

This Compact English Course has 82 individual lessons. It's available from Beginner to advanced levels. 9 consecutive days; 1 lesson: 50 minutes; Hours per week: 68 hours 20 minutes; Courses begin: every Saturday; Includes lunchtime lessons with the teacher; Ages: 16 +. For those with exacting needs which must be met in a short space of time. Requiring just one week away from the office, this course is ideal for busy professionals and executives who need to prepare for presentation and meetings abroad. 

This course gives you the opportunity of living and learning more about the culture and social life of both England and Ireland. Our special long term rates are only available to CES agents. Bookings must be a minimum of 24 weeks to avail of these rates. Students have the opportunity to really further their English language, by learning over a greater length of time. If long term students have the appropriate level, they are welcome to move to our IELTS/Cambridge Examination Preparation Courses or General English with Business English! You can divide your stay as you wish and you can start your course in either England or Ireland - we leave the choice to you. We do recommend that all students who require a visa start their Multi-Destination course in the UK.
