Studying a General German course will give you an understanding of the German language and take you all the way from beginner to fluency. This course focuses on communication skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing.

In GLS Berlin, you will learn German in international groups. The daily lessons will ensure that your German skills improve quickly. All courses build on the four fundamentals: listening, writing, reading, and speaking. While in class, you will get individual attention, and teachers will make sure you are progressing in German Language Learning. After-class activities in Berlin complement all German courses. In case you prefer distance learning, classes are also available online.

The exam preparation courses are design to help you achieve the result needed in your chosen language exam. These official language exams are used as a proof of language proficiency for inmigration purposes, university admissions, or for employment. In this course you will learn and develop test-taking strategies and skills.

This preparation course includes daily 90 minute sessions in the afternoon (except Mondays). We will familiarize you with all parts of the exam, and we will rehearse the exam with you by means of mock exams.

The online evening courses focus on general German and take place twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.30 - 8.30 PM.

In this course you will learn and develop test-taking strategies and skills.

A teacher familiar with the TestDaF exam coaches you: You meet once a week,  get to know the exam format and receive homework, which your teacher will discuss with you at the next meeting. You benefit from detailed feedback and - if you wish - you can take the exam immediately after the course.
