This General English language course has 24 Lessons per week. Beginner to Advanced levels; 1 lesson: 50 minutes; 2 days (6.5 lessons), 3 days (4 lessons). During the lessons, you rapidly improve your communication skills in a variety of everyday situations. In 2 lessons each day you will cover the following areas: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation. In a further 2 lessons you concentrate on: speaking, listening, reading, writing. You use a text book and a wide variety of materials and exercises including roleplays, authentic materials, newspapers and magazines.

This 9 day compact course has 82 individual lessons. Beginner to advanced levels; 9 consecutive days; 1 lesson: 50 minutes; Hours per week: 68 hours 20 minutes. Courses begin: every Saturday. Includes lunchtime lessons with teacher. Ages: 16 +. This course is perfect for those with exacting needs which must be met in a short space of time. Requiring just one week away from the office, this course is ideal for busy professionals and executives who need to prepare for presentation and meetings abroad.

​Academic Year Abroad - AYA (24 L/W)* AYA: 24-48 weeks* 24 lessons per week* Lesson: 50 minutes * Recommended start dates: First Monday of January, April and September** 2 additional weekly sessions with an LSI teacher. These sessions include language review and support, professional development and college/university application support.* Beginner to Upper Intermediate levels#* Max class size: 16 students* Age 16+* Course options: General English Courses, Exam courses, Academic English, Pathways, Business English* Regular testing, academic counselling and assistance with university placementSpend up to a year abroad, achieve a high level of fluency in your chosen language and make new friends from all over the world. ATA and AYA programmes differ from shorter courses at LSI because students receive a greater level of academic support and management, including two additional weekly sessions with a teacher. An individual study plan is designed for you to suit your level, individual aims and the duration of your course. We continue to check your progress with regular meetings to make sure you achieve your aims.

This General English language course is composed of: 10 lessons per week; 1 lesson: 50 minutes; 15 Students maximum per class. Course length: 1-50 weeks. Hours per week: 8 hours 20 minutes. Ages 16+. This course is suitable for students who wish to improve their fluency, vocabulary and pronunciation in a language. There is an emphasis on language for everyday situations and classes may involve discussing topics such as film and theatre, current events, politics, local culture and the internet.

This General English language course has 30 Lessons per week; 15 students maximum; 1 lesson: 50 minutes; Hours per week: 25 hours; Age 16+. The LSI Intensive 30 course concentrates on all the areas that you need to achieve much greater fluency in a short period of time. This course is suitable for students who wish to study intensively and get a well-rounded insight into the language and country. Students on the LSI Intensive 30 course study the same lessons as described for General 20 in the morning. During the afternoon there are a range of electives to suit all levels, needs and interests. Pathways programmes at LSI's schools in New York help students gain access into many respected American higher learning institutions. Pathways programmes focus mostly on English language training but also provide support and assistance with university and college applications. In addition, a number of LSI partner institutions in America offer conditional letters of acceptance to LSI students and recognise LSI levels in place of external tests of English.
