The exam preparation courses are design to help you achieve the result needed in your chosen language exam. These official language exams are used as a proof of language proficiency for immigration purposes, university admissions, or for employment. In this course you will learn and develop test-taking strategies and skills.

Learning English 'Cambridge style' is a more intensive experience than studying General English at the same level.  The IELTS examination is fast becoming the leading standardised test for English Language globally and the English proficiency test for University admissions in the UK. Our IELTS course aims to prepare students with the skills and strategies needed to undertake the IELTS test with confidence and to succeed in the IELTS examination.  Focussing on the IELTS exam and suitable for students studying for IELTS 5.5 – 7.5, students will practise and develop the skills needed for the exam.  This course is usually recommended for 5-6 weeks. Start dates: we usually have a continuous enrolment policy, this means students can start any Monday, however we would strongly advise to check availability with the school before booking an exam course. Also entry onto these courses is dependent on passing the school pre-test to a sufficient level. A test will be emailed to the student at the time of the booking, however all students will be tested again on arrival. Should students not be at the right level, our directors of studies may suggest they join a General English course until they have reached an adequate level.

Cambridge English offer a wide range of exams which can help you achieve your goals and increase your opportunities for work, study, and life.Our Cambridge Exam Preparation courses are full time at 15 hours per week. You will be guided through a variety of strategies to help you realise your potential in your chosen Cambridge exam. You will focus on all parts of the exam - reading, writing, listening, speaking, and use of English – as well as exam techniques and academic style. LILA*'s Cambridge Exam Preparation courses are intended to develop the necessary language skills required to pass the exam. As well as the core course material you may also have the opportunity for authentic exam practise with previous Cambridge exam papers.Note: Timetable depends on your level of English and the availability. Examinations at the B1, B2, and C1 language levels take place at all four course locations at the end of each month. In addition, we offer up to six examination dates yearly at the A1 and A2 language levels and two at the C2 language level. Test takers can prepare themselves with test preparation courses specifically designed to familiarize the test takers with the format of the examinations. The focus of these courses is not so much the process of learning the language as it is becoming familiar with the content and conceptual design of the test. Although it is possible to book an individual preparation course, it is recommended that such a course be taken in combination with a Standard Course or an Intensive Course. Telc-exams: Please verify with the school the availability and need to fill in a specific form for test enrollment.
