Robin Adams, President, CES Toronto

Why would a student choose your school?

Our school opened in 1979 and we have 42 years of experience helping students reach their goals. Our teachers are dynamic and skillful educators ready to help our students develop their Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

We are focused on delivering a very personal experience. And as part of the CES Group of schools, our students benefit in being able to have access to a wealth of resources such as CES Direct Learning, CES Online, etc.

Moreover, as an Accredited Member of the International Association of Language Centres, we are able to deliver internationally recognized and respected approaches to our students studying in Toronto, Canada.

In your opinion, what are the main benefits for a student to study abroad?

Studying abroad is perhaps the one activity that will help students not only improve their skills, but will also help them develop a better understanding of themselves. COVID has interrupted everyone’s lives. Choosing to study abroad can help students improve their ability to communicate and have meaningful life experiences. This is also all about identifying what is important in our lives and learning where we want to focus.

The staff at CES Toronto are ready to help students make that journey.

How do you see the future of language tourism?

Things will start slowly at first. There will be a few innovators who test the waters initially, and then when others see them having incredible experiences all in very safe environments which follow government protocols, then people will race to get their lives back on track and enjoy the experiences they had to put on hold for too long.

What types of courses do you think will be most in demand in the future?

Academic programs with Pathways to High Schools, Colleges and Universities. I also see key business programs with an emphasis on digital marketing as being very much in demand in the next 12 months.

What are the most attractions around the school and in the city in general?

Our school is located 150 meters from the main city square (Yonge-Dundas Square). We are behind City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square. So, we are at the centre of this extremely multi-cultural and dynamic city. We are close to all the main attractions and just a 20 minute walk to the Harbour front.
