Interview with Richard Pincus, Centre Director of EC Sydney: “Studying abroad allows a student to open their mind”

RICHARD PINCUS, CENTRE DIRECTOR OF EC SYDNEY

Why should a student choose your school?

Our campus is centrally located within walking distance of some of the city’s most famous landmarks. We boast a university-style campus shared with university students. Students who study in here can enjoy the iconic Sydney sights and visit famous beaches like Bondi, Coogee and Manly Beach. There’s no better way to improve your surfing skills!

In your opinion, which are the main benefits for a student to study abroad?

Studying abroad allows a student to open their mind to new cultures, new experiences, new friendships, and of course, to improve their language skills. The advantage students who travel have is that they are surrounded by the language 24/7, making faster progress more achievable.

How do you see the future of language tourism?

Language tourism will always be a part of our global community. As society becomes more integrated, exploration of other countries with opportunities to learn and advance in education or employment will continue to be popular.

What types of courses do you think will be most in demand in the future?

The courses students of the future will demand will be those that offer more than just a language. People want experiences, opportunities, and added-value programs.
