You’re probably already chosen for the destination and why you’re traveling. Whether it’s tourism, wanting to improve the language you’re learning or just getting out of your usual routine and getting to know a new country. Whatever the cause of the trip, we leave you 10 tips that will come in great whenever you want (or the Covid-19 allows it) to make your next trip.
Once the destination is selected…
One of the most important things to do when traveling is to get organized. Plan day by day of what you want to see, grouped by zones so you can visit as much as possible. If you know someone who has gone to that destination, don’t hesitate to ask them what things to visit and which are not worth it. No one would advise you better than someone who has already been to fate, or of course someone indigenous!
If you are travelling to a country where you need a visa and/or some type of vaccine
Remember that there are countries you can’t enter if you don’t have a visa. If the fate you decide to leave to requires it, we advise you to order it well in advance. It’s normal to have no problem, but if that’s the case, it’s better to have some margin. Sometimes they don’t give it to you at the moment and you have to go back to the embassy or consulate. It’s better not to take any chances and give us time!
The same goes for vaccines, just in case you have any reaction or side effects and then you can’t go on the trip.
Check your passport or ID card
It seems very obvious, but it’s something you don’t usually give too much importance to (especially when you only need the ID to travel). Check the expiration before each trip and be careful as some countries require travel to be made when the passport is at least 6 months valid before the expiry date.
Look at the weather forecast
It may seem like a simple travel tip to you, but who hasn’t had to buy an umbrella for thinking it never rained in that destination? Looking at the time it will make costs 2 minutes and can save you some other upset or unnecessary expense. To think that because it’s summer it’s not going to be cold or take for example that in London it’s always raining is something we’ve all thought about, but sometimes time surprises you.
Contact the accommodation where you’re staying
Today the vast majority of bookings are made online, sometimes weeks or months in advance and unfortunately there are websites that are not entirely reliable. So, to avoid further upsets and anger, please contact the property booked days before travelling.
Don’t trust the confirmation email they sent you and make sure everything is correct. Many times problems arise with bookings (especially in high seasons), the property is cancelled and may not be communicated to you. Sending a message or making a call doesn’t cost you anything and you stay a lot calmer.
Tips for your travel bag
I’m sure you know someone who’s lost his suitcase at the airport. To avoid running out of clothes if this happens, if you’re traveling with someone or carrying carry-on luggage, spread your clothes between the suitcases. This way you’ll always have something to wear.
Prevent the airline from losing your suitcase
As simple as this advice may seem, we can assure you that it works. We all know the typical tip of wrap the suitcase in plastic, in fact now you can do it at the airports themselves. But a tip that is even more useful is to attach to the suitcase a label on which to put Fragile. Currency exchange
When traveling to a destination outside the European Union, we advise you not to exchange currency at the airport. Change is usually pretty bad!

Leave important documentation at the property

Take out travel insurance

When we go on a trip we think about enjoying and living new experiences, but never that anything can happen to us. In order for your back to be covered, we recommend that you always you get travel insurance.
