English Courses

The Intensive English Language Course consists of 15 weekly lessons focused solely on general English. These are lessons focused on developing reading, writing, oral and listening comprehension and conversation. You will have three hours a day of class, each lesson is 60 minutes, with the estimated timetable being from 9:00 to 12:25, Monday to Friday.

Our standard ESL program has ten levels that range from beginner to intermediate to advanced classes. Students will take classes that focus on different English language skills such as reading, listening, grammar and communication. As students improve theirs level they can take other language skills such as pronunciation, conversation or writing. 

This course is perfect for those General English students with exacting needs which must be met in a short space of time. Requiring just one week away from the office, this course is ideal for busy professionals and executives who need to prepare for presentations and meetings abroad. It has: 92 individual lessons; Beginner to advanced levels; 9 consecutive days; 1 lesson: 50 minutes; Hours per week: 68 hours 20 minutes; Courses begin: every Saturday; Includes lunchtime lessons with teacher; Ages: 16+.

Our Intensive English language course offers a fast, enjoyable and effective way to improve your English language skills, whatever your current language level is. You have the opportunity to customize your course with specific skills lessons, including business English and exam preparation. The course allows you to quickly achieve English fluency and learn grammar and vocabulary that will be useful in every day English. You can study for as long as you need to, and by doing so will improve your opportunities in future academic and professional endeavours.

Taking the time to seriously focus on your English language skills will open up unlimited opportunities for you. This program is for students who study for 24 weeks or more. This course includes General English classes, and also allows you to personalize your course by taking an additional 4 lessons per week across a wide selection of electives

The Adult General English course covers general English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and language structure as well as important everyday English expressions and phrases. Our international student culture in classes also ensures that students will continue to practise their English outside the school throughout their stay in Malta. The course timetable is organised so that the students receive a balance of different types of lessons which include general conversation activities such as debates, discussions and role-play, as well as grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation exercises.

CLLC’s Accelerated Program gives students an opportunity to complete their levels more quickly than the Intensive program. Students will study General English and IELTS Preparation for 35 hours per week (46 lessons/week). Students study our primary classes of Reading & Writing, Listening & Speaking in addition to IELTS Preparation. CLLC’s Elective Plus One class is also included and gives students the opportunity to focus on additional language skills that are different from their primary classes.

Our five month English Academic Semester course aims to get you from your current level of English up to a very high level of fluency. As well as this general English course, you can choose an Intensive Academic Semester course, in which you will study specific sections of vocabulary and skills, such as Business Intensive and exam preparation.Immerse yourself in the English language and spend a semester studying, getting to know a new location and culture. The course is an effective way to increase your fluency, and you will be helped by our exclusive and specially produced study materials.

Our Semi-Intensive English course is a semi-intensive programme that allows you to balance classroom tuition with structured study and free time activities. You will improve your English language ability at a speed you feel comfortable with, while having time to enjoy your destination. This course is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced and you will be placed in a class which is suitable for your level. The course focuses on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking. You’ll also learn vocabulary and grammar, and how to speak in formal and informal discussions and strategies.

The aim of this General English language course is to help you improve your English language skills, make progress and achieve your goals. Learning English in an English-speaking country is ideal because it allows you to perfect your English language skills quickly and easily with practice both inside and outside the classroom. This 20 English lessons per week offer greater flexibility – you can study at home for part of the day, spend time exploring the city, or even combine it with private one-to-one lessons for a more intensive and personal experience. This course runs in the mornings!!!
