Our foundation program offers a comprehensive communicative approach to learning English. The mornings (periods 1 to 4) focus on developing core English skills in language structure and oral communication.

English lessons concentrate on building your knowledge of the English language, focusing primarily on helping you increase your vocabulary and improve your grammar so that you attain the levels of accuracy you require. Lessons also work on improving your overall communicative proficiency and fluency, focusing on the four skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. In addition to this, you will work on specific pronunciation difficulties and expand the range of language you use in real-life situations.

Our five month English Academic Semester course aims to get you from your current level of English up to a very high level of fluency. The Study Year Programme offers a comprehensive and flexible English language programme to help you prepare for your future and gain internationally recognised exam qualifications. It is designed specifically for long-term students who will study English in England for 6 months or more. This programme allows you to follow a wide range of ELC Eastbourne courses, including General English, Cambridge English exams (FCE & CAE), IELTS and Introduction to Business English.
